Update

Well, I've been incommunicado for awhile. After working my tail off trying to get the last needed financial arrangements to go to Kansas, I admit defeat.

I can't get enough money together to go to Kansas this year. So, I'm deferring my admission a year (still waiting for approval on that) and am returning the financial aid I did receive. I can't really put into words how it feels. So I'm not going to try.

I will be at GenCon. I have a desperate need to have some fun and blow off some steam. Also, I reinjured my back. I'm back off of work again. I've been released to go back to work with certain restrictions from my doctor. Howerver, my employer doesn't have anything that fits those restrictions, so I'm still on Sick Leave.

I'd love to say that I've been productive, and written a large chunk of a novel. Truth be told, I haven't written a word since the Workshop. And I'm unsure why. Right now the creative well is dry. I'm hoping that the GC seminars with Kij and Mike Stackpole can get it going again.

I owe lots of people e-mails. Sorry about that. My mind has just not been where it should be lately. Not an excuse, just an observation. I also owe a couple of people photos from the Workshop, and a critique or two. Normally, I'm pretty good about returning e-mails.

Things are just crazy, and don't seem to be very hopeful right now. I know it's just the letdown from not being able to move to Lawrence. Just not able to focus past it yet.
